LISTENERS' CLUB
ANNUAL MEETING HELD It! was dodder] at the annual mect--sng of the United "B" Stations Listeners' Club last evening to change tho name of the club to tho Xjnitocl Listeners' Club. Alterations also were made in the rules eliminating reference to specific "JJ" stations, and empowering the clul) to co-operate with till broadcasting stations and to assist financially stations not otherwise subs<<lisi4l. In presenting the annual report, the •chairman, Mr. P. H. Bartlcy, said tho recent curtailment of activities by some "B" stations, and the formation of separate clubs by others, had limited the / activities of tho club in this direction. Tho executive considered the best interests of the club would be served if it affiliated with the Listeners' Federation of Now Zealand. The following officers were elected: Patron, Mr. B. H. Bartley; president, Mr. A. Thompson: vice-presidents, Messrs. A. Groville-AYalker and ft._H. Sutherland, secretary, Mr. H. Whito, treasurer, Mr. Percy Landells; committee, Messrs. H. B. Arthur, A. H. Dixon, J. W. H. Martin, T. Walsh and /Owen Hughes; honorary solicitor, Mr. R. P. Hunt.
