PAKURANGA HUNT
MEET AT DRURY About- 70 riders took part in a meet ot the Pakuranga, Hunt at Drury yesterday. Although conditions wero not ideal, several good runs were obtained, the last being a particularly long one. - ' The hunt met at the Monument and set off across tho railway line into some agricultural land. Here a hare was put np, which took the hunt for a good circling run and was eventually lost on Mr. K. Flanagan's property. Tho hunt then moved across to Mr. E. Fitzgerald's farm, whera another hare was put up, which took tha hunt through some gorse country to Mr.' A.Hamilton's property, round to Mr. J. Appleby's land and back again to the gorso country, where it was lost. Another hare was eent away from this patch, however, and this led the way across tho properties of Mr. J. Appleby, Mr. F. Appleby and Mr. Kinross on a long run, eventually striking into some bush and up the Hunua, Hii!. Tho hounds, however, worked their way through the bush and mado a kill in a clearing near the top. Ihe hunt adjourned to Captain J. Brooke's home, where afternoon tea was served. Tho hunt was considerably augmented- by visitors from tlie Maraniaruu Hunt. and from Waiuku.
