HARBOUR BOARD FINANCES PERIOD OF NINE MONTHS "The receipts arc of a more buoyant nature than they have been for some time," said the chairman of the Auckland Harbour Board, Mr. T. B. Clay, at a meeting of the board yesterday, when referring to the treasurer's report of an increase of £10,340 in cash receipts at the Waitejnata Harbour for the nine months ended June 30, compared with the corresponding period last year. "Last year the board was labouiing under a great depression, but there now is a strong indication of heading to more prosperous times," he added. The Waitemata Harbour receipts for the nine months totalled £241,834, against £231,494 for the nine months in 1932. Increased returns were shown principally in respect to goods wharfage, shipping charges, storage on goods and crane dues, and the main decreases were recorded in the receipts from rents, Admiralty subsidy and vehicular tolls. Returns for Juno amounted to £24,311, which was £3706 greater than for June last year.
