MOVEMENT TO AUSTRALIA A WARNING ISSUED A recent influx of New Zealanders into Australia in search of work is reported by Mr. C. Hoy Stanley, of Sydney, president of the New Zealand sub-branch of the Returned Soldiers and Sailors' Imperial League of Australia. Mr. Stanley says sonic of those arriving from New Zealand aro returned soldiers, and they have called on him for assistance. This is offered when available, but is necessarily limited to a very small amount. Mr. Stanley desires to warn any such men from going to Australia unless they have a position to go to. "The labour market hero is badlv overcrowded," he says, "and there is practically no possibility of work being found by New Zealanders for quito a long time." Tho secretary of the Auckland branch of tho Returned Soldiers' Association, Mr. A. W. M. Ohlson, said yesterday lie bad no personal knowledge of such a movement to Australia. "If. however, men think Australia is going to recover more rapidly than wo are they will naturally go across there." lie added.
