AUSTRALIA'S DEFENCE
PRELATE'S SUGGESTION GERMAN MEN AND SHIPS (Received July 10, 5.5 p.m.) / LONDON, July 10 Tho Daily Herald, under the heading " Pay Germans to Guard Australia," gives prominence to a cablegram from Brisbane stating that Dr. J. Duhig, Boman Catholic Archbishop of that diocese, suggests that Australia should give back New Guinea to Germany, that country in return to undertake to provido enough men and ships for the defence of the Commonwealth.
