LETTER TO MAGISTRATE
ATTEMPT TO INFLUENCE INCIDENT AT HAMILTON [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Monday When a charge against a lorry driver for failing to take out a heavy traffic licence was being heard in the Hamilton Police Court to-day, tho magistrate, Mr. S. L. Paterson, stated that a third party had attempted to influence his decision in the case by means of a letter. He did not know whether the defendant was a party to the writing of the letter. In any case, he added, he would hand the letter to the proper authorities to take action.
