MAUNGAKIEKIE LADIES' CLUB INVITATION DAY MATCHES An invitation day was held by tbo Maungakiekio Ladies' Golf Club yesterday. LADIES' TEAM SELECTED MATCHES IN MELBOURNE 3 The executive committee of the New Zealand Ladies' Golf Union has selected the following players to play a match against a team of Australian players at Melbourne on September I:—Mrs. J. C. Teinpler (Waimate). Miss O. Kay (Otago), Miss B. Gaisford (Marton), Mrs. 11. XDodgßhun (Otago) and Mrs. Guy Williams (Masterton), who will also act as captain and manager. The team will leave from Auckland on August 18 and will also tako part in the Australian women's championship tournament, which is to be held at the Victoria Golf Club, Cheltenham, from August 28 to September 7.
