LADIES' TEAM SELECTED MATCHES IN MELBOURNE 3 The executive committee of the New Zealand Ladies' Golf Union has selected the following players to play a match against a team of Australian players at Melbourne on September I:—Mrs. J. C. Teinpler (Waimate). Miss O. Kay (Otago), Miss B. Gaisford (Marton), Mrs. 11. XDodgßhun (Otago) and Mrs. Guy Williams (Masterton), who will also act as captain and manager. The team will leave from Auckland on August 18 and will also tako part in the Australian women's championship tournament, which is to be held at the Victoria Golf Club, Cheltenham, from August 28 to September 7. MORRINSVILLE TOURNAMENT [from our own* correspondent] MOIIRINSVILLE, Friday The first one-day ladies' tournament held on the Morrinsville golf links'yesterday was a, great success. The weather was good and over 50 players from clubs in the South Auckland district took part. In the morning a medal round was played and in the afternoon foursomes took place.
