WALKER AND PATTERSON Bright and spectacular wrestling is anticipated nt the Town Hall next Monday night when George Walker, British Empire champion, will be opposed by Jack Patterson, America. Patterson weigliß 10st and is eaid to be the strongest man among the party of wrestlers which recently arrived from America. He has had an .exceedingly chequered career, starting with active service ut the war with the United StateH Marines in France, where he was wounded twice. As a student of Syracuse University he first became interested in wrestling, and after a brilliant amateur career entered the ranks of the professionals. Splendidly built, he was soon among the top flight and wrestled draws with the famous Londps and Dick Shikat. He beat a number of prominent exponents and had very creditable performances against De Glane, the French Canadian, and Sonnenbcrg.
