FOOTBALL FATALITY
DEATH OF FIJI PLAYER DISLOCATED SPINE [I'ROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT] SUVA, June 13 An unfortunate accident occurred in a Rugby competition match between two native teams, Gaunavou and Police, when one of tho Gaunavou players, llatu George Cokanavula, dislocated his spine, from which injury he died a week later. Tho injured man had been playing in the front row of the scrum, which on ono occasion suddenly collapsed, tho front row men of either side falling to the ground. When the players got up, it was seen that Cokanavula was injured and ho was taken to the hospital, where death occurred. Rata George, who was a clerk in the employ of the Department of Agriculture, was of chiefly rank, his father being the Jato buli, or chief, of tho island of Nairai. Ho was secretary of the Fijian Cricket Association and a corporal in tho native platoon of the Fiji Defence Force:
