PATIENT IN LAGOON
ESCAPED FROM HOSPITAL PLUCKY RESCUE BY NURSES [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] GREYMOUTH, Thursday Making good his escape from the Greymouth Hospital a mental patient ran to a lagoon at the back of the hospital and plunged into the water. Ho would have lost his life but for the courageous action of Sister A. M. Becker and Nurse G. B. O'Connor, who followed immediately and with difficulty rescued the man. The honorary medical officers reported the action of the sister and nurse to the Hospital Board, expressing appreciation of their/' bravery. A resolution expressing appreciation was passed at the board's meeting this evening.
