TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS
FOUR PERSONS IN HOSPITAL ELDERLY MAN KNOCKED DOWN Four persons were taken by the St. John ambulance to the Auckland Hospital yesterday as a result of traffic accidents. Concussion and head injuries were suffered by Mr. A. W. Norris, of 40 I'onsonby Road, when lie was knocked down by a motor-car near the intersection of I'onsonby Road and Great North Road about 5.30 p.m. The condition of Mr. Norris, who is about 55, is fairly serious. As a result of a collision between a motor-cycle and a bicycle iu Saltburn Road, Takapuna, about 8 a.m., Mr. Edward Lee, aged 55, of East Coast. Road, Milford, received concussion and abrasions. His condition is not serious.
A compound fracture of the right leg was suffered by Mr. James Miller, aged 59, when be was knocked down by a motor-cycle on Farmer's Hill, Great South Road, Green Lane, about 8 a.m. Mr. Miller lives at 32 Halesowen Avenue, Sandringham. A fall from his bicycle caused through' suddenly swerving to avoid a dog resulted in Gordon Ashton Dixon, aged 17, of 30 Maungarei Road, Remuera. being taken to hospital with concussion and abrasions, but his condition is not regarded as serious. The accident happened in Koraha Road, Remuera.
