REPRESENTATIVE FIXTURES REARRANGEMENT OF GAMES HEAVY CLAIMS ON INSURANCE A rearrangement of representative matches for the season was decided upon last evening by the. Auckland Rugby League. The request oi Kawke's Bay for a fixture on September 2, instead of a Saturday in August, was agreed to. In view of tho altered programme, it was decided to offer August 2(5 to tho West Coast. Tho gqjne between Northland and Auckland was arranged for August 12. It wns decided to ask the Auckland selectors for ■ a report on tho advisability of playing an A and B senior trial game on July 15' as a curtain-raiser to the Northern Union Cup challenge match between Auckland and South Auckland. Speaking to a report from the insurance committeo on the heavy list of casualties last week, the chairman, Mr. G. Grey Campbell, said the finances of the league could not stand a possible repetition each week. He said the committee would have to seriously consider deleting junior players from tho insurance benefits. The action of the junior management committee in suspending two junior players for two weeks and seven weeks .respectively was approved. Both players admitted fighting. The New Zealand Council advised the approval of reinstatements of T. liuki and P. Burrows. Applications for registration were received from R. Church (City), N. McGregor,: W.. A. Allison (Ponsonby). On the motion of Mr. E. J. Phelan it was decided to forward a strong protest to the Government at its action in placing the ban on station IZR. The speaker said patients at' the Evelyn Firth Homo and Auckland Hospital were strong in their protest ngamst .being denied the privilege of listening to the station FIXTURES FOR SATURDAY Senior Grade.—Marist v.
