PALMERSTON NORTH, Wednesday A remit to the New Zealand Pig Breeders' Association's annual meeting from South Auckland urging the election of members to the council on the ward system was rejected by the meeting, which decided, however, to investigate the proposal.
The council was elected as follows: — Messrs. 0. S. Koss (To Puke), A. 11. Gudopp jNew Plymouth), E. H. Galpin (Canterbury), P. S. Stevens, J. A. McLimlen (Palmerston North). W. P. Pickers (Feilding).
