-BULOLO GOLD DREDGING - SHARES LISTED ABROAD An announcement has been made by Bulolo Gold Dredging, Limited, which is operating in New Guinea, that permission to deal in the company's shares has been granted by the committee of the London Stock Exchange in respect of the 65,000 issued shares, and the company is in course of being listed also on the Montreal Stock Exchange. From the information at present available, the directors believe the total number of shares to be allotted to Placer Development, Limited, in satisfaction of the purchase from that company of the Bulowat-Burnside areas will not exceed 250,000. Production of the No. 1 and No. 2 dredges of the company for the period ended May 31, with figures for that ended April 30 in. parentheses, was as follows:—Cubic yards, 490,500 (489,100); bullion, oz., 12,154 (11,1-47); value, gold dollars, 107,117 (153,271)'; gold pounds, par, £34,386 (£31,537); Australian currency, £52,569 (£56,766). BENDIGO GOLD YIELD The gold yield from the Bendigo field in May recorded by the registrar was 20380z., compared with 1170oz. in the corresponding month of 1932. Production for the current year was 13,0210z., against 60380z. for the first five months of 1932. The Hercules mine was the largest producer with 11270z. for the month from 952 tons of ore. FLOTATION PROCESS Great progress has been made in the uso of the flotation process for the treatment of gold ores in Western Australia, and at present more gold ore is treated in that State by the process than by all other processes combined. The adaptation of the process has taken many years. Twenty years ago huge quantities of sulphuric acid were required for t.he operation of the process and the cost of the acid effectively stopped further development. In contrast to this the present, cost of flotation agents at Kalgoorlie is only 2d a ton of oro treated. It was not until 1925 that the Lake View and Star and Oroya Links jointly erected a.pilot flotation plant, which successfully demonstrated the commercial possibilities of tlio process. Now the Great Boulder Company is buying a flotation plant- to treat its ore.
