PENWOMEN'S CLUB
Miss A. L. Louden, M.A., gave a lecture to the members of the Penwomen's Club, on "Wild Decembers," the latest >'ork of Clemence Dane. In the opinion °f the /speaker "Wild Decembers" franked among the best work of the pen. It was a play of great beauty, and especially interesting in its new revelations of the characters of the famous Bronte family. During tne lecture, Miss Louden gave a brief sketch of the life of Clemence Dane and of her varied career as school teacher, portrait, painter, actress and author, She also spoke of her different books, mul their characteristics. Clemence line's first play "The Bill of Divorcement, " had a remarkable run in the theatres of London and New York. Mrs. Carr-Rollett presided. Mrs. Richards, accompanied by Miss Beddis, sang an Irish folk song.
