PARADE OF DOGS
VARIOUS BREEDS SHOWN HIGH STANDARD GENERAL Dogs of a variety of breeds took parfc ia the parade organised by the Auckland Kennel Association in the grounds of the Remuera Riding Academy on Saturday afternoon. Alsatians predominated, but there we're also bulldogs, wire-haired fox terriers, Scottish terriers, cocker spaniels, greyhounds, pugs, Pekingese and King Charles spaniels. About 60 dogs were entered in the various classes, and the general standard was good. A puppy talent test, which had been planned by the New Zealand Alsatian Club, was postponed, as there were no entries. The judging occupied the greater I part of the afternoon. The Alsatians were judged by Mr. R. T)arbyshire, the bulldogs by Mr. J. W. Turcich, the toy dogs by Mr. Pascoe, and all other breeds by Mr. J. Bedford. The best dog in the parade was Mr. AY. H. Schrafft's champion bulldog Glyntaff-o-mike, while Mr. L. D. McKechnie's Alsatian, ; Lass of Goteberg, was the best bitch, S irrespective of breed.
