PAKURANGA HUNT

MEET AT PAPATOETOE The Pakuranga Hunt Club held a meet at liiuiginui, Papatoetoe, 011 Saturday afternoon. Excellent conditions were experienced, the going being good, while an enjoyable day's sport took place. Over 40 members followed the hounds. The first draw was made on Mr. P. A.' Price's farm, where a hare was put up < almost immediately. In a great xun the liare crossed the properties of Messrs. W. Davis and Wills McLaughlin, running into scrub along the Manukau Harbour foreshore. It then travelled agniu across Mr. Davis' property and was killed on Mr. McLaughlin's farm. Another hure was put up soon afterward and it covered the same country before being killed. After the hunt had moved to the front of Mr. Price's property a hale was put up which crossed Mr. F. Bell's farm. After a lone run it turned in the direction of Puhinui, and then, by swiniiniijg a stream, reached Mr. McLaughlin's property, where it was killed after a further run of three miles. The last hare was put up at the back of Mr. Price's farm, but the scent was very patchy and it was impossible to obtain a good run. Among the followers of the hunt were the mnster. Mr. 11. Carter's land, it made for high country, practically (lie wluile valley being covered. After another three miles, a kill was made 011 Mr. Gardner's property. The hunt then loturned to Mr. F.
