THE CURRENCY SYSTEM
Sir, —May I crave space to briefly reply to letter signed "Accountant" in the Herald of June 9 (headed "More Borrowing" and dealing with the Mayor's deputation to the lit. Hon. J. C*. Coates), in which he says that his given quotation from, their views, "just about sums up the theories of the currency reformers." "Just about," does it? "Accountant" will bo well advised to study this subject much more deeply beforo lie again rushes into print with such inaccurate assertions. The true facts are that currency reformers do mind about the heart and that to them lundameutals do count. Their proposals co right to the very core of the whole matter and direct to the basic principle of the whole monetary system, which is the control and issue of currency. CriAs. Ghekves.
