IMPROVEMENT NOTED [by TELEGRAPH —OWN" correspondent] HAMILTON, Saturday Congratulations to clergy and laity on the generous response for home and Maori missions were extended by Bishop Cherrington, who presided at the fifth annual meeting of the Hamilton Rural Deanery Board. It was decided to form a missionary committee for the wholi? diocese, and that the diocese be required to subscribe not more than £7OO to the Board of Missions, which should be informed of the needs of the Maori missions as compared with the Melanesian mission. Archdeacon Hori Raiti thanked the parishes for their generous contributions to the Maoris, and said tb.e position was brighter than it had been for 20 years.
