DEATH OF AN INFANT
REMAND IN TARANAKI CASE

A Maori, Bella Thomson, of luglewood, single, aged 20 years, was charged to-day with the murder of her newly-born child on May 24, and with concealment of birth. She was remanded until Tuesday.
It is understood that a doctor was called to attend accused on May 24, and he found that a child had been born and the body removed. Subsequently the body was recovered.
