WINTER COMPETITIONS Tho Auckland Amateur Athletic Hub'* winter competitions wore continued at tne Domain on Saturday afternoon. The going was heavy and times were appreciably slower than those returned last week. \v. G. Thomson won tho 3000 yds steeplechase in a very close finish, only seconds separating the first live men. Tho 75yds sprint was won bv L. B. Johnson on 11yds. with K M.. Horan and A. Clark close up. I. M. Fhotnson won tho shot-putting and S„ Allen the discus 'throw. Results are asi follows:■— SOOOYds.
