TOURS ABROAD
DOINGS OF AUCKLANDERS [from oun own correspondent] LONDON, April 2S Mr. T. A. Gresson (Christehurcli, and Caius College, Cambridge), went for a holiday to the Continent, accompanied by Mr. E. G. McElroy (Auckland, and Clare College, Cambridge), Leaving at tho beginning of April, they went first to Paris, where two days were spent. Thence they weilt to Madrid. They alt:o visited San Sebastian, Toledo, Granada, Malaga, Cordova and Seville, and returned to tho university last week. Mr. Albert Bryant (Hamilton) has returned from the Continent preparatory to leaving for Australia and New Zealand by the Otranto, which is due in Sydney on June 7. fie will probably connect with the Niagara on Juno 22 for Auckland. Mr. and Mrs. Phillips (Manurewa) are visiting Britain after an absence of 28 years. They will ho travelling in England until the end of July, when they will devote a month to Scotland. During September they will travel in Warwickshire and the English Lake District.
Mr. and Mrs. F. Ambler (Auckland) are greatly enjoying their stay in Britain. At Easter they were motoring in Yorkshire, which county they explored inland and on the coast, and the tour included visits to the notable ruined Abbeys. Mr. and Mrs. V. J. Red fern and their son (Auckland) spent Kastertidc on a motor tour of Souther?* England, getting as far as Devonshire and Cornwall.
At a meeting of the Royal College of Physicians, over which Lord Dawson of Penn presided, I)r. Bernard E. Myers (formerly of Auckland) was elected to the Fellowship.
