MILITARY DANCE
Empire Day was celebrated with tho annual militifry dance conducted by the Te Kuiti Volunteers, held, in Barraud and Abraham's Hall. The hall was decorated with blue and orange streamers, greenery and bunting, S P? lighting effects gave a brilliant effect. The event was a, complete success, over 250 being present. The gathering included visitors from all parts of the district, including Otorohanga, Lo Awamutu and Waitomo. In spite oi tho large number present, there was plenty of room for dancing, and the floor was in excellent condition. Proceeds amounted to £2B, which sum goes to tho funds of tho local platoon.
