CROQUET CLUB
The Otahuhu Croquet Club held its 28th annual meeting recently. The report and balance-sheet showed a very good season. Mrs. Gillies presented the trophies won during the season. The officers elected for the ensuing season were as follows:—President, Mrs. W. Morton; vice-presidents, Mesdanies E. Elliot and E. Piper; secretary, Mrs. L. Kimber (re-elected); treasurer, Mrs. Jas. Todd (re-elected); match committee, Mesdanies J. Mclvor, R. Hickson and E. Piper; general committee, Mesdamcs F. Gillies, H. Moffit, L. Pengelly and Maddigan; delegates to association, Mesdanies W. Morton and L. Kimber. A successful card afternoon (bridge and 500) was held in the bowlers' pavilion on Wednesday, the winners being: Mrs. J. Gillies for bridge, and Mrs. E. Ellery 500;. hidden number, Mrs. Hill; consolation prizes, Mesdanies Everett and G. Searbv. Among those present were:. The Mayoress, Mrs. H. T. Clemouts; Mesdamcs W. Morton, E. Elliot, E. Piper, L. Kimber, It. Todd, B. J. Parsons, K. Hotson, J. Peterson, 10. Ellery, G. Searby, White, Vessey, J. Mcfvor, J. Gillies, Hill, R. Hickson, Latta, Patton, Pearso, Everett, Maddigan, H. Moffit, Barrott, and Miss Lippiatt.
