HARRIER RACING
TECHNICAL OLD BOYS' CLUB A harrier run was held on Saturday', by members of the Technical College Old Boys' Athletic Club from the home of the club harrier captain. Mr. T. M. Wilson, in Mount Smart Road. Forty-seven runners covered a difficult seven miles' course, good form beiujf shown in the slow pack" by Bowman, Smith and Harding, all three of whom were making; their first appearance. Tate and Whitten 6howed up in the intermediate and Bradley > and Sinclair in the fast pack. The run-ins resulted:—Slow pack: K. Scott, 1; W. West, .2; A. G. Harding, 3; A. Warren, 4. Intermediata pack: 1). Knight. 1; F. Knight, 2; R. Whitten, 3; F. Tate. 4. Fast pack: W. S. Bainbridge, 1; W. Polham. 2: A. White, 3; It. Sinclair, 4. Members of the> club will run in a series of relays to Helensvillo next Saturday, leaving tho general post office at eight o'clock. UNIVERSITY CLUB Tho University Harrier Club held a run. of about six miles on Saturday from St. George's Hall, Raniurly Road, The trail led over Mount St. John, and then back to Cornwall Park and home over One Tree Hill. Thirty-five runners divided into two pucks, and a 800 yards run-in was held at the conclusion. The result was:—Hainoson, 1; Watson, 2; Williams and Copeland. dead-heat, 3; '!?. Holmes, 5. CALLIOPE CLUB Good runuing conditions prevailed on Saturday when the Calliope Harrier Club held its third aunual contest for the Eyro teams trophy over a road course of three miles and a-half from Birkenhead to Verran's Corner, Birkdale, and back. The race, which was an exceptionally close contests resulted as follows*—No.' 1 team (Andrews, 3, McCombio, 4, Davidson, 6, Woodhams. 11), "24 points, 1; No. 2 team (Clow. 1, Whitmoro, 2, Drummond. 10. Steele. 12). 23 points. 2; No. o team (Clayton, s_. Rowland, 7, Davis, S, Lanignn, 0), 29 points. 3. » ' P RESB YTER lAN CLUB The Presbyterian Bible Class Harrier Club held a seven miles run on Saturday, starting from the Preebytariaji Church.
