CAMBRIDGE GYMKHANA
DOG TRIALS AND TROTTING [from our own correspondent] CAMBRIDGE, Saturday. A gymkhana and sheep dou trial was held at the Showgrounds to-day "under tha auspices of tha "Waikato Central Agricultural Association. There was an attendance of about 2000 spectators. Tho sheep dog trials drew an entry of 26 dogs from all parts of the province. The judgo was Mr. S. Voyce, o£ Piopio, who considered tho standwd very satisfactory. E'osultß were:— , Driving and Yarding.—Mr. P. McNaughton'S" (Morrinsville) Willie, 41 points, i; MifiS Long's (Te Kuiti) Garabaldi, 3SJ, 2; J. Carswell's (Onewhero) Wake, 33, 3; A. J. Sutherland's (Pio Pio) Fly, 4. Shepherd's Crook.—-P. MoNaughton, 88 points, 1; «r. CarswelL, 31, 2; A. J. Sutherland, 3. Novice Dog.—P. Wills' Jock, 1. The trotting evonts resulted:— . Handicap Trot, of 1 mile and 5 furlongs.— Lady Amanda. E. A. McMillans, 84yds bhd, 1; Kaikaha, E. A. McMillan s, limit, 2; Jackie Thorpe. W. P. Saunders , 156 yds bhd, 8. Head; four lengths.
