RADIO TRANSMISSION
Sir, —I read recently that "AntiMush" was dissatisfied with the IYA broadcast, complaining of back noises, etc., and record scratching in tho transmission. I have had a radio sot for lour years and have never onco heard any back noises from this station, tho transmission being quite perfect. Ihere are times, however, when tho programme might be a "bit dull," but then you can get that from any station. Listener. t? Sir, —Locality has a great deal to do with radio transmission and this is one reason for good reception by "Credit Where Credit, etc." IYA reception in our town (Whangarei) is, to put it mildly, atrocious after dusk. \> ltn regard to tho mush, I state definitely that tho turntables for the record transmission are out of adjustment at this station. There is a most distinct "mountain" in tho playing surface, causing a deep cutting noise at each revolution of tho turntable. Tho noise thus created is amplified in tho ordinary process of transmission. Badio.
