INTEREST REDUCTION
SAVINGS BANK DEPOSITS DECISION IN CANADA (Received April 21. 5.5 p.m.) OTTAWA, April 21 A reduction from 3 per cent to 2i per cent in the interest rates paid by Savings Banks in Canada was announced to-day by tlio Minister of Finance, Air. E. W. Rhodes, to become effective on May 1.
