TRAVELS IN PALESTINE
A description nf Palestine from the point of view of tlie modern tourist was given by the Rev. W. Averill to members of the Writers' Club yesterday afternoon. The president, Mrs. J. M. Cluett, presided. The speaker traced a journey through Palestine, pointing out the places of interest to the tourist and referring particularly in this respect to klaffii and Jerusalem. The former city was interesting bedause of its tireat ago and the fact that in spite of this it was surrounded by fine modern suburbs. Points of sacred interest in Jerusalem were also described by the speaker, who UKed a map as a guide for his audience.
