AUSTRALIAN DEFENCES

NORTHERN TERRITORY "MUST BE STRENGTHENED" Mr. Parkhill, Postmaster-General of Australia, in a recent speech, expressed the view that the defences of Northern Territory must be strengthened. He reaffirmed a belief in the successful future of the Northern Territory, but said its industrial and agrarian development should not bo a concern of the Government.
