REPAIRING TRAM TRACKS

PROGRAMME FOR WINTER WORK FOR THE UNEMPLOYED Several works involving the reconstruction of the tram tracks are to be put in hand by the Transport Board during the winter. The routes to receive attention comprise Karangahape Road, Victoria Street (from Hobson to Hardinge Streets), Symonds Street and New North Road (from Alexandra to Llovd Avenues). The' renewal of portions of special work will be carried out at two city intersections and centre poles will bo removed from Victoria, Hobson, Pitt and Lower Symonds Streets.
