AUCKLAND CENTRE MEETING CONFIRMATION OF RECORDS The opinion of the Auckland Centre of the' New Zealand Amateur Athletic and Cycling Association with regard to the possibility of a conference of centre secretaries at each New Zealand conference was sought in a letter received from the. Dominion body last evening. At the request of the New Zealand Council the question of a march up of athletes at the New Zealand championship meeting was discussed. It was decided that, weather permitting and that provided any competition for the march past dpes not count for the McNilly Shield, the Auckland Centre approves of the scheme. Confirmation was received of the establishment of fresh New Zealand records, Auckland athletes concerned being R. Cameron, half-mile walk, 3m 2 4-ss; A. .T. Elliot, 100 yards. 9 4-ss; D. Kerr-Taylor, 440 yards hurdles, 56 4-ss. New Zealand standard certificates were gained at the New Zealand championships by the following Auckland athletes •A. J. Elliot, 100 yards; W. S. Bainbridge, 440 vards; J. W. Savidan and N. F. Cooper, three miles. . Advice was received that in future all 440 yards hurdles events should be run with separate lanes for each competitor. E. A. Adlins, of Whangarei, was granted reinstatement. A letter was received from the Auckland Grammar School Old Boys' Athletic Club stating the progress made already by the acting committee. Approval of the .centre was given to the steps already- enrried out, the question of club colours being provisionally approved. The action of the Waikato sub-centre in suspension of several officials of the Waikato Cycling Centre was approvedApplications from J. Taylor and L. Hodgson, of Hamilton, for reinstatement, were approved. A sub-committee comprising Messrs. A. Moon. L. 'C. Barker and S. J. Gudsell was set up to go into the matter of holding a function at which will be presented the Auckland championship trophies, Mr. G. G. Chambers was elected the centre's delegate on the Harrier sub-com-mittee.
