SMALL FARM SCHEME
SUCCESSES AT DARGAVILL2 [by TELEGRAPH —OTO correspondent] ' DAKGAVILLE, Wednesday ' All the eleven cottages on the Bassett estate, Tatarariki, under the small farm scheme are now in occupation and the holders are busy on land preparation for the next dairying season. , On Wilson's estate, 21 cottages are almost completed and will be ready for occupation early next month. Most of the intended tenants who hare been on relief work are now busily engaged fencing," ploughing, draining and installing water supply systems in preparation for early occupation. Visitors with a knowledge of farming who have viewed the estates during the holiday season are most favourably impressed with the land and the success of the scheme as it is being carried out in this district. It is reported thr/ several other properties are under offer, some adjoining the present holdings. Settlers who have been settled under tho small farm scheme some months in other parts of the district declare themselves as well satisfied with tho conditions and would not now go back to the old order of things in any circumstances.
