FILMS IN AUSTRALIA
THE CENSOR CRITICISED LONDON. April 11 The News-Chronicle, in a leading nrticls,.says: "The Commonwealth film censor, Mr. Creswell O'Reilly, is entitled to his opinion, especially as it flatters British films, but we arc puzzled to learn that there are still too many bath scenes and too much bedroom farce. "if the mild British incursion into this dubious territory shocks Mr. O'Reilly, what in the world would he say about American films!-'" An official of British International Pictures told a reporter that it differs from Mr. O'Reilly that British films hliow too many bathroom scenes and too much bedroom farce. Only three or four out of CO pictures feature such scenes. The popularity of British films in Australia testified to their higher standard.
