REMARKABLE ESCAPE
CHILD IN MOTOR ACCIDENT A remarkable escape from serious injury was experienced by John Henderson, aged 15 months, in a collision between a motor-ear and a motor-van at the junction of New North and Commercial Poads, Kingsland, about 4 p.m. yesterday. The child was travelling in a car which was being driven toward Morningsido by his mother, Mrs. A. Henderson, of Taupaki. The vehiclo collided with the van and the child was thrown against the windscreen, suffering a gash on the head and other injuries. No one else received severe injuries. A St. John ambulance took the child to the Auckland Hospital, but it was not necessary to admit him for treatment.
