FALL DOWN STAIRS
UNION SECRETARY HURT VISITOR FROM WELLINGTON CONDITION FAIRLY SERIOUS Concussion anil severe head injuries were suffered by a visitor from Wellington, Mr. Edward Kennedy, when he slipped rind "fell down a flight of stairs yesterday afternoon. Mr. Kennedy, who is secretary to the Cooks and Stewards' Union of New Zealand, was unconscious when ho was taken by a St. John ambulance to the Auckland Hospital. His condition was described as fairly serious late last evening. Mr. Kennedy is married, and lives at 8 Seine Street, Island Bay. Ho came to Auckland to attend the annual conference of the Now Zealand Labour Party, and ho was present at discussions at the Trades Hall yesterday. ACCIDENT AT DANCE HALL INJURIES TO YOUNG MAN A visitor from Te Kauwhata, Mr. Alfred Sydney Buckley, aged 28, suffered injuries to his head and back as a result of a fall down a flight of stairs at a dance hall in Surrey Crescent, Grey Lynn, about 11 o'clock last evening. Mr. Buckley, who is staying at 28 Dryden Street, Grey Lynn, was taken by a St. John ambulance to the Auckland Hospital. His condition was described later as not serious.
