GOLFER AND SWIMMER I 1 A brother and sister catno to Auckland during the week-end in order to take part in widely different branches of sport. The mission of tho sister, Miss Z. Haworth, a former junior swimming champion of New Zealand, was to represent Otago University in swimming events at tho inter-university tournament. Her 21-vear-old brother, V. B. Haworth, of Wanganui, was one of the youngest competitors in the open golf championship of Auckland. Ho is also an expert swimmer and diver, having represented Wanganui at the national championship meetings of 1928 and 1931. After playing golf last Monday 110 started in the ti(> 2-3 yards open handicap at tho university swimming carnival, and won the race.
