Adolpli, had a very trying experience through having to spend a night in tho bush in the back country at Lake Tarawera. They left Kotorua on Sunday afternoon on a motor-cycle with the intention of meeting Mr. E. Adolph, the girl's father, on his return fi oin deer stalking at Tarawera. As Mr. Adolph was not at tho wharf when they arrived at tho lake, they crossed over in a dinghy and encountered a head wind, which mado tho journey very strenuous. When the couple arrived at tho opposite side of the lake they were overtaken by darkcess and could not make tho return journey. They had 110 food or matches with them, and were unable to light a fire. The night was very cold and they suffered from cold and hunger. A search party was organised yesterday by tho police, under the supervision of Constable A. Shilton, and the lost couple were eventually found trying to make their way back to the wharf in the dinghy. They were found by Constablo Shilton, who was searching for them in a launch. On arrival at tho wharf they wero given hot food and drink, and they arrived back in llotorua last evening.
