TRIPLE MURDER
SCHOOLMASTER'S CRIME NEW YORK. April 11 Within 12 hours of tlio iirrcst of Henry. Bedford, ;i middle-aged principal of a high school for a triple murder, ho confessed to the crime and was sentenced to imprisonment for life at Grand Rapids, Michigan. Bedford had lived with a family named Bengert and was said to have become friendly with Mrs. Bengert. After a violent quarrel in her husband's absence, however, bo choked her to death and then killed her two children. . Bengert returned ]ust afterward and, after knocking Bedford down, sent for the police. The Michigan law does not provide for capital punishment.
