TWO WOMEN INJURED
COLLISION NEAR HUNTLY RESIDENTS OF GREY LYNN [from our own correspondent] HUXTLY, Monday Two women were admitted to the Huntly Hospital late this evening as a result of a serious collision between a sedan motor-car in which they were passengers and a motor-van, on the Great South Road at 9 o'clock. The victims of the accident are Mrs. N. Stone, of 56 Great North Road, Grey Lynn, and her daughter, Miss A. Stone. Both suffered severely from shock and other injuries, the full extent of which was not known at a late | hour. j The car was driven by Mr. Ronald I Stone, a son of Mrs. Stone. It was j travelling from Rotorua in the direcj tion of Auckland, when it was involved in an almost head-on collision with the j van, which was driven by Mr. C. Kellj, of Frankton Junction, at a point about two miles south of Huntly. Mrs. Stone | was thrown against the windscreen, and | her daughter was also severely shaken. \& Mr. Stone and another passenger in the car, Miss Lily May, suffered slight | shock, while Mr. Kelly and a passenger in his van, Mr. Frederick Hieatt, were not injured. Both machines were very extensively damaged, the radiator of the car being crushed.
