SECOND DAY AT KANDWICK ROGILLA WINS SYDNEY CUP SPRINT EVENT' TO AUTOPAY PANJANDRUM SCORES AGAIN (Received ,>April 17, 7.30 p.m.) y SYDNEY, April 17 The second day of the Australian Jockey Clubs Autumn Meeting was held at Hand* wick to-day in warm weather. The track was in splendid condition. The attendance was 49.000. The JNew Zealander Autopay made amends for hia display ot bad manners in the Doncaster Handicap, when he was left jit the post, by winning the La Perouse Handicap. Alter jumping away smartly when the barrier lilted, he was unable to maintain the advantage gained, but Bplendidly handled by T. Webster, ho came with a fast run in til© straight to secure the victory by a head. Grcenline was second and Lady Linden third. The New; Zealand-bred filly Frimsel ran third to Air Queen and Heroic Lasß in the Easter Plate. In the next race, the Biraganbil Handicap, the Chief Ruler gelding Panjandrum, trained by J. T. Jamiesou, Bcored his second win at the meeting. x Kogilla gave a wonderful performance in winning tlio Sydney Cup. Running in the rear of the field for the first mile, ho moved up sharply approaching tile halfmile and continuing a brilliant run led the field into the straight. Going on, he reached the judge a length ahead of the light-weight Nord, with Gippsland third. 11l the spring Rogilla ran second in both the Epsom and Metropolitan and he then went on to win the Caulfield Cup.
