CHAMPIONSHIP TITLES H. C. ROWLANDS WINS SINGLES TOURNEY CONCLUDES TO-DAY Favourable weather conditions prevailed for tho continuation of the Auckland Lawn Tennis Association's hard-court championships at the Windmill Road courts yesterday and a number of evonts were finalised. The tournament will conclude to day. In the men's singles, H. C. Rowlands scoied his third successive win by defeating C. E. Partridge in straight seta. Partridge played stylish tennis, but could not penetrate his opponent's control. Miss L. Roberton and Miss Marion Macfarlane had a good match in the ladies' singles, the vigorous forehand play of tho first-named dominating the clos--lUpartndge and Macfarlane started well, against Rowlands and McKeown, but failec badly after taking the first se . Rowland was the best of the four and the Eden and Epsom combination asserted it» superiority after two-all in the second ™ to win at 6—3 and take the third to love without being extended.
