RECEPTION OF LEADERS SETBACK FOR HERR HITLER LONDON, April 14 The Rome correspondent of the Daily Jlr.il states that the Pope, when receiving the German Vice-Chancellor, Herr von Papen, and the Prussian Premier, •Captain Goering, refused the Vatican's support for the reformation of the German Catholic Centre party on a different basis, to enable it to support Herr JHitler's Government. His Holiness also declined to conclude a general concordat with the German ißeich as a whole, to replace the three existing, concordats with Prussia, Bavaria and Baden, saying that the Vatican preferred to maintain separate reJations with-the German States rather jtban with the Central Government.
