CURRENCY INFLATION
SUPPORT IN AMERICA LEGISLATOR'S STATEMENT (Received April 16. 7.5 p.m.) WASHINGTON. April 15 The chairman of the Banking Committee of the House of Representatives, Mr. H. B. Stegall, told journalists to-day that he favoured currency inflation. He expressed the belief that if such a proposal is brought on to the floor of tho House it will be passed. "I think there is a general feeling that there ought to be an expansion of currency," said Mr. Stegall. "I favour some method of expansion. I hope we are going to have some inflation this session. There are many ways in which the currency may be expanded, but it all remains to be worked out."
