BIG RANSOM DEMANDED SENSATION IN CHICAGO THREAT OF ABDUCTORS VICTIM'S LIFE AT STAKE By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyrig"t (Received April 16, 7.5 p.m.) CHICAGO. April 15 Jerome Factor, 17-year-old son of John (" Jake the Barber ") Factor is being held for 100,000 dollars ransom, so the police revealed this evening. Tho elder Factor is awaiting the outcome of his appeal to the United States Supremo Court against an order extraditing him to England on charges of swindling British investors of £1,600,000. The police report that young Factor was kidnapped on Wednesday night as he was about to enter his home where be was living with his mother, who was divorced from the father several years ago: Factor senior received a note demanding a ransom of 50,000 dollars last night. A second note received later raised the amount to 100,000 dollars. Tho police revealed that the first note contained a threat to Bend tho youth home " in pieces " unless the demand was complied with.
