The work was again divided between the plough and the No. 6 grass track and there wa9 one gallop on the course proper. On the plough Fracas ran five furlongs in 1.2 and Heather Glow followed in 1.3 2-5. Cricket Bat maintained an even pace over six furlongs taking 1.16 and Rebel Song was three lengths in front of Zeebrugge at| the end of a similar task in 1.16 1-5. Princess Argosy strode over the same journey in 1.16 1-5, finishing on well. Shatter, with a light-weight up, was not asked to do his best over the final stages of a seven furlongs gallop taking 1.30. Ihe first half-mile took 525. Rocket and Royal Love were together throughout a mile task in 1.45 2-5. Ramo took 1.46. Gay Crest and Tout Le Mond recorded 1.31 2-5 for seven furlongs, finishing together. Final Shot again finished in fiont of Silent Flight after covering five furlongs in 1.4 2-5. Cranford and Gaysomo each ran half a milo in 50 4-ss. Gluudovcy and Highbrow followed in 51 3-ss. Great Star was set six -furlongs at a strong pace and sprinted homo two furlongs in 24s ; Gustavo and Irish Lancer were to go together from the sis furlongs post, but tho latter would not break into a gallop until half a furlong had been covered, Gustavo going on to record 1.10 4-5. Irish Lancer's time was 1.21. Ho showed plenty of pace once he settled down, to work, but at the same time his effort was very disappointing from a Great Easter Handicap point of view. . . . Silver Streak and Chief Light ran six furlongs in 1.19 3-5.. Fleeting Glance finished better than Niggerhead at the end of seven furlongs in 1.31. Spoou reeled oil half a mile in 52 l-ss. She is to contest the Courtenay Handicap and will be ridden l J j 3 "Wise Choice and Metal Bird did well in covering six furlongs in 1.16. Some Shamble sprinted three furlongs home in 8S 2-53. Concentrate and Martian Chief strodo over six furlongs comfortably in 1.18 2-5. On tho grass Cleaner galloped five furlongs in 1.3. Acceptable, under a good \veigrht. recorded 40 2-5s for half a riiilc. Sir Leighton ran the same distance in 503. Rational 11. and Polydora pleased by leaving six furlongs behind in 3.16 1-5 and Rothen bent Juniper decisively over the same ground in 1.18 4-5. Red Manfred was credited with the morning's snrinting honours by recording 43 1-os for half a mile.
