CROQUET
TOURNAMENT AT CAMBRIDGE The Cambridge Croquet Club's tournament commenced on Saturday morning under very favourable conditions, the weather being all that could be desired and the number of entries was good. Among the players are the president and secretary of the Auckland Croquet Association, Mrs. Hamilton and Mrs. Keesing. Visiting players from quite a number of outside clubs have entered and the play has been of a very high clnss. Before play commenced tho president, Mrs. Murray, in a few well-chosen words, welcomed the visitors and expressed pleasure at seeing so many present. Results are as follows: Championship Doubles.—A section : Mesdnmes Piper and Daisley beat Mesdames Aitken and Russell Mesdames Clayton and Rodgers beat Mesdames Forbes and Lawrie, Mesdames Hardley and Rowbotlom beat Mesdames Hall and Hopkirk. Mesdames Keesing and Pearso beat Mesdames Hawken and Burrett, Mesdames Forbes and Lawrie beat Mesdames Aitken and Russell, Mesdames Hall nnd Hopkirk beat Mesdaijics Clayton and Rodgers.
