DANGER TO CHILDREN
Sir, —Having witnessed a fatal accident in Williamson Avenue on Wednesday, I feel that some warning should be given motorists to slow down at tjiig particular part of the avenue. The victim of the accident (a little girl) was one of many of the children who play in the Grey Lynn Park, a portion of which has been equipped with swings, ate. This play area is situated in a hollow, with only the footpath dividing it from Williamson Avenue, and directly opposite Beaconsfield Street. I would therefore suggest that a notice of warning to motorists and others be erected (such as is erected in the vicinity of schools). I trust that some steps will be taken to prevent further accidents of this kind. L. H. Hahmsow. 79 Williamson Avenue.
