FILM DISAPPEARS
TAKEN FROM A THEATRE MYSTERY IN WELLINGTON The mysterious disappearance of 2000ffc. of film from a spectacular production, which forms part of the Easter picture programme for Wellington, took place recently. A 16in. wooden spool, on which was wound 2000 ft. of talking film, was left for a few minutes in the lobby of one of the city's leading theatres, and when the time came to remove it it had disappeared. The reason for this disappearance is inexplicable, for the film has no commercial value so far as the general public is concerned. It is of no use whatever, to anyone owning a "homo" cinematograph outfit, for "home" talkies have not yet been introduced in this country. It is thought that some children may have taken the spool just for the sake of getting some film. Fortunately, the distributors of the picture were able to cable to Sydney and have a duplicate film sent to Wellington in time for Saturday's opening-
