LARGE KINGFISH TAKEN
HOOKED BY TWO CHILDREN A kingfish weighing 40 pounds was hooked by Patricia Hastings, aged 13, and her sister Joan, aged eight, daughters of Dr. J. P. Hastings, while fishing with a schnapper lino from Shelly Beach on Saturday afternoon. As they were unable to land tho fish themselves, the children called to Mr. A. Farquhar, custodian of tho baths near by, who had a 20 minutes' struggle with the kingfish beforo bringing it ashore. The fish was cut up, pieces being given to a number of people who were spending the day at tho beach. Although there was a school of kingfish playing in tho vicinity during tho day. only one was caught.
